Refund and Cancellation Policy

Last updated: 16 October 2026. This policy covers the only thing we sell for real money: advertising on plots in the game.

Playing is free

Creating an account and playing The Desi Life cost nothing. Lumi, the in-game currency, can't be bought with money, so there is nothing to refund for players.

Plot advertisements

Rejected before it goes live: if we reject your ad, you get a full refund.
Cancelled before review: while your ad is still waiting for review, you can cancel by emailing us and get a full refund.
After your ad goes live: bookings can't be cancelled or refunded, except as below.
If the service fails: if your ad isn't shown because the game is unavailable for more than 48 hours in a row during your booking, we refund the unused days on request, or extend your booking, as you prefer.
Ads removed for breaking the rules after they went live are not refunded.

How refunds are paid

Refunds go back to the original payment method through Razorpay. We start a refund within 7 working days of deciding it; your bank or card issuer may take another 5 to 10 working days to show it.

Delivery

Advertising is a digital service: a live ad appears in the game automatically for the booked period. Nothing is shipped.
