An Indian life simulation game you can play free online
The Desi Life is a desi life simulator: a 3D multiplayer world where everyday Indian life is the game. It runs in your browser on mobile and PC, with no download.
What is a desi life simulation game?
A life simulation game lets you live a second, everyday life through an avatar: find a home, earn money, buy things, make friends and go places. Most of them are set in American or European towns. The Desi Life is set in India. You live in Mayanagari, a 3D Indian city, and Sundargaon, the village beyond its fields, together with other real players.
If you enjoy life simulation games such as The Sims, but want Indian streets, food and festivals, and want to play online with others for free, The Desi Life is made for you.
A day of desi life in the game
- Morning: adrak cutting chai and bun maska at Raju Chai Ki Tapri, then borrow a bicycle.
- Work: a shift behind the tapri counter, or tiffin deliveries from Sher-e-Punjab Highway Dhaba.
- Afternoon: shopping in the Chandni Chowk bazaar or the five-floor Mayanagari Mall, a workout at Veer Akhada, a swim at the beach.
- Evening: Carrom with a new friend, Garba at Club Jalsa during Navratri, the sunset from Sahyadri Sunset Point.
- Night: home to your villa: cook khichdi, rearrange the furniture, sleep.
What makes it Indian
- Places: a chai tapri, a highway dhaba, a bazaar, an akhada, a temple-style pooja corner at home, a village with huts and farm houses.
- Getting around: auto-rickshaws, yellow taxis, bicycles and motorbikes on roads with Indian traffic.
- Food: chai, samosa pav, dal tadka, thali, kulhad lassi, biryani, paneer butter masala, khichdi.
- Home items: a rope charpai, a teak pooja mandir, a tulsi kyari, a brass masala dabba, a retro transistor radio.
- Festivals: Navratri Garba Nights, Dussehra with Ravan Dahan and Diwali with diyas and lanterns.
- Games and dances: Carrom, Ludo, Garba and Dandiya Raas.

Honest notes
The Desi Life is made by one independent developer and is still growing. Today you can own a bicycle or motorbike but not a car, the game's menus are in English, and festival events follow the 2026 calendar. New places and activities are added regularly; the features page always lists what is in the game now.
