Play The Desi Life online, free, with no download
The Desi Life runs in your web browser. There is no APK and no app to install: open the website, sign up and play.
Play in three steps
- Go to thedesilife.com in your browser.
- Sign up free with your email (13 to 17 year olds also need a parent's approval by email).
- You are in Mayanagari. Walk with the on-screen joystick or W A S D.

Your browser needs WebGL, which almost every phone and computer from the last few years has. You also need an internet connection, because the city is shared live with other players.
Is there a Desi Life APK or app?
No. The Desi Life is not on the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store, and we do not publish an APK. The only official place to play is thedesilife.com. If you find a "Desi Life APK", a mod or a site selling Lumi, it is not from us: don't install it and never enter your password there.
Open it like an app
- Android (Chrome): open thedesilife.com, tap ⋮, then Add to Home screen.
- iPhone (Safari): open thedesilife.com, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.
- PC (Chrome or Edge): bookmark it, or use the browser menu to install the site or create a shortcut.
If the game is slow or does not start
- Laggy on an older phone: open the settings and choose Low graphics. Close other apps and browser tabs.
- Black or blank screen: turn on hardware acceleration in your browser settings, update the browser, or try Chrome.
- Players jump around: your connection is unsteady. Move closer to the Wi-Fi router or switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data.
- Can't sign in: check that you confirmed your email. Players aged 13 to 17 can sign in once a parent approves the email we sent them.
Still stuck? Email support@thedesilife.com with your phone or computer model and browser.
Is it really free?
Yes. Playing is free and nothing in the game is sold to players for real money. Lumi, the in-game currency, is earned by playing. See how to earn Lumi.
